Heard they might be doing a tour next year. I will be attending. And pretending it’s 1999.

If only Rage didn’t predate LB by almost a decade, it would resonate more.
Both bands had amazing debut albums, but everything went downhill from there.

Neoliberals recognize that spelling rules are prescriptive , imperialistic, and inefficient.
They also love crosswords, which seems odd when you think about it.

Your post made me think of this song . T his album exposed me to a lot of great punk bands when I was a lad.

RATM will never put out a masterpiece like “Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water”
and 100 more

My younger
brother had that album! Fantastic shit.
I was more partial to the Fat Music or Epitaph
comps.

It’s great, and it’s also a Fat Records release. I had several of the Fat Music releases as well, all good stuff

LB’s first album is the one that initially got me into them. Significant Other isn’t terrible, but it was garbage after that. I like pretty much all the RATM albums though, even Renegades.

I only felt bad that most people didn’t hear LB until they hit the radio and turned more into radio-friend Bro-Rock. I much preferred the alternative metal aspects of the first album. I was a big Korn and Tool fan at the time, too.

I’m still a huge Tool fan. Just saw them last week actually. I go back and forth on Korn, basically album by album. I loved the fist LB album. Its still good (for nu-metal anyways).

Absolutely. I only grew to hate the Nu-Metal term because it started including stuff like Linkin Park, Drowning Pool, plus all the later frat-rock Limp Bizkit stuff.
I’m more in the camp of early LB, early Korn, Deftones, plus the occasional Slipknot or something like that. The first couple Incubus albums were really good, too.

It became a pretty broad term. Linkin Park’s first album might have been included, but i think they transcended the label pretty quickly. Not to mention Korn pre-dated it by at least 5 years.
I don’t listen to a lot from that era anymore, but I’ll occasionally go down memory lane.
